How to use our family meal planner

We have a new FREE family meal planner on our product page!

This meal planner was created for all the families who plan their meals every week but want to get their kids involved in an easy way. This is especially helpful for kids that are fussier with their food, as being involved in the planning and selecting of meals can help them to build independence and engage with mealtimes. 

It is easy to laminate and use a whiteboard marker to write down the meals for the week and change them if your week changes. The kids can also write them down for you or select their own favourites for particular nights.

Either throughout the week or at the end of the week, the children can fill in the 'favourite food of the week' section. This can help them to reflect on the foods they enjoyed and help you to understand even better what your child is or isn't enjoying.

The 'new food of the week' section is especially helpful to engage kids in trying a new food. Each week they can pick a new food and see how many times they can try it in different dishes. They can use the 'times tried' section to either write with a marker or use stickers to keep a tally of their attempts. This can be motivating for children to keep trying the food over the week even if they didn't like it served in a particular way.
